Abstract

This paper is intended to meaning of the linguistic turn and the narrative turn in postmodernist thought. In everyday use, the language can’t be separated from the particular meaning system used to interact and communicate among humans to appoint a reality. This system is called the mark. Language is a system of meanings set of signs that are based on social conventions are used to indicate that a reality. Awareness of the importance of the role of language to exploration of the meaning and storytelling. In the field of storytelling, one of the prominent phenomenon of linguistic turn and narrative turn. How language can be used to communicate, and gave rise to a variety of responses and be able to make the interaction and communication so that a marker is ideal for shaping the character of civil society.
