Abstract

The Aim of this research are for : 1) knowing the way to build a character in Muhammadiyah Elementary School of Kebumen, 2) How the strategy in applying a cultural character in Muhammadiyah Elementary School of Kebumen, 3) What are the priority of the characters in Muhammadiyah Elementary School of Kebumen. This research is a phenomenology qualitative research. The informant of this research is the principal, teachers, and students. The data collection techniques held by interview, observation and documentation. Result of observation show that: 1.) Build a’school of character culture integrated into everyday life through that school strategic program of planning, implementation and evaluation 2.) the strategies in building school of character culture through exemplary and affordability 3.) priority of character culture established in Muhammadiyah Elemntary School of Kebumen religious, disapline, creative, currosity, love of Mother land, respect of achievement, care of enviroment, and responsibility.
