Abstract

WhatApp is currently one of the most widely used social media by some people. In the world of education, WhatApp is used as a medium of communication between parents and teachers relating to information about school activities. Intense and fast communication using WhatApp can be used by parents and teachers in instilling independent and honest character. Teachers and students can provide mutual information about children's attitudes related to independent and honest indicators at home and at school. By using WhatsApp communication between teacher and parent becomes easier and faster so that the handling of children in instilling character can be faster as well. Handling can even be done on the same day when teachers and parents exchange information. Teachers and parents can send documentation to each other in the form of photos or videos of children's activities at home and at school related to the cultivation of independent and honest character. Communication between teachers and parents conducted intensively, continuously, and consistently can shape the character of students as expected.
