Abstract

The goal of this research is to obtain the temperature effect on adsorption equilibria of oxalic acid with activated carbon. This research is done by filled the beaker glass with 1000 cm3 of oxalic acid solution and 5 g of activated carbon. Then solution was stirred at constant temperature. After 120 minute the concentration of oxalic acid was measured by volumetric methode using sodium hydroxide solution. This concentration is equilibrium concentration of oxalic acid. Activated carbon can adsorpt oxalic acid at range 20.46% - 27.10% and the temperature range 30 – 50 oC. The isotherm Langmuir, isotherm Freundlich and isotherm Redlich-Peterson give the average of error in the range 5.51 – 11.79%.
