Abstract

This research is a type of applied social research or action research. Sewing line X as a research object has not been able to achieve daily or weekly work targets so that it has an impact on group effectiveness or performance. Next, the researcher conducts a group level diagnosis to find out the description of sewing line X. The group level diagnosis uses an assessment method consisting of interviews, observation, and document study. The assessment results show that the sewing line X does not function as a working group. This has an impact on work group activities and coordination among fellow group members and coordination between members and superiors. The results showed that to improve the effectiveness of sewing line X as a working group, it was necessary to develop the group function by applying human resource intervention through the team building training approach.
