Abstract

In a qualitative study aimed to identify the experience of female married undergraduate students at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, six students were selected as respondents through purposive and snowball sampling. Besides the researchers as the main instrument, the other instruments used were interview questions and a demographic form. Data were analyzed using Constant Comparative Method that involved two processes, namely open coding and axial coding. From the analysis, emerged seven categories and 15 subcategories, while three issues stood out, which were self-adaptation, communication challenge and time constraint. This paper discusses one issue faced by the undergraduate female students that was self-adaptation. The strategy taken to overcome the issue is also discussed. This paper ends with a discussion on the limitations of the study and recommendations to stakeholders and future researchers.
