Abstract

This study aims to describe the Problem Focus Coping strategy in adolescent orphanages in Porwokerto. Respondents in this study numbered five teenagers who had long lived in the orphanage Dharmo Yuwono Purwokerto. This data collection technique uses interviews. The results showed that every teenager has a variety of different ways and strategies to overcome the problems that occur in his life. Many adolescents face the fact that the way they do is sometimes not as expected because of their inability to overcome their own problems. When a teenager faces demands that are felt to be challenging, burdensome, or exceeds the resources possessed, the individual will make an effort to deal with, fight or master a pressing situation called Coping. onestrategy coping namely Problem Focus Coping is very difficult to apply to be used as a strategy for solving problems in every teenager.
