Abstract
Banyumas Language or commonly known as “ Ngapak Language is the mother tongue of the former Banyumas Language Residency, which includes Banjarnegara,Purbalingga, Banyumas, Cilacap, Kebumen.Regencies. In its development, this language, also known as Panginyongan, began with the younger generation of slang. The Banyumasan Language , which is the hallmark of western Central Java society, is gradually becoming extinct. There are several factors that cause the extinction of “ Ngapak Language.”Is only suitable as a joking language and is considered tacky. To preserve this Banyumas Language, there are varios effrts made by the observers of Banyumas Regency through habituation activities for Elementary Schol students in Banyumas Regency.
