Abstract

Building character is the responsibility of parents and teachers. Both have the same important role. Supervision and role models of parents and educators are needed in the formation of these characters so that the development of information technology can synergize with the formation of student character. From the observations of students it can be concluded that both students who have gadgets and those who don't, have good responsibilities. As long as there is clear supervision and commitment between parents and teachers. So that they have an attitude of responsibility that will be inherent in him to face his future. Through media literacy it is hoped that students will be able to face the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 by instilling an attitude of student responsibility. This research is motivated by the fact that children now have begun to forget their responsibilities as a child, student, national child and religious community. Based on the background of the problem, the writer takes the title Growing the Character of Student Responsibility through Media Literacy in the Face of the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0. (Ethnographic Study on the Use of Gadgets in SD Negeri 1 Karangnanas).
