Abstract

Demand for peanuts processed as a raw material in the food industry continued to increase, while the mast while peanuts will require marketing and distribution smoothly. Good marketing will support farmers in sales proceeds of production with favorable prices, encourage and augment the spirit of farmers to further improve its production. This activity is research on the location of airy dry land area of rainwater in East Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara province on the planting season February-June 2015 according to the model of "research involving 30 people (farmers, indigenous leaders, extension officers) proactively" and participatory approach to research (Participatory Rural Appraisa/PRE). Data analysis use analysis of response analysis and tabulations (preferences). Research results concluded that: 1) the farmers always improving his knowledge against the technology/innovation peanuts to be able to suppress the risk of failure to the production levels that are as small as possible; 2) Farmers have to maintain confidence and continuity of relationships the partnerships directly/indirectly on food industry entrepreneur, merchant aggregator, and large traders so that chick kemintraan a harmonious and sustainable business, so to get help with the cost of farming is increasingly assured; 3)Efforts increased production will be achieved if accompanied by the improvement of marketing systems.
