Abstract
Seed storage is a way to keep seed growth viability as long as possible in order to keep seed quality. For storage purpose, seed should be have initial growth viability more than 85 percents. Appropriate storage container can protect seed from storage environmental changes i.e. RH and temperature. Research aimed to determine growth viability and the best storage container to keep growth viability of mung been seed. Research used factorial randomized block design with two factors replicated three times. First factor was storage temperature, i.e. 20 C with RH 40-60% and >25 o o C with RH 75-80%. Second factor was storage container, i.e. plastic glass, inner sack, sack, and jerry can. Research was conducted in laboratory of seed quality test in UPBS of Balitkabi Malang from January 2015 up to March 2016 using Vima 1 variety. Result showed that jerry can were the best containers for mung bean seed storage for 1 up to 12 months storage period.
