Abstract

The experiments were conducted at Jambegede and Genteng experiment stations during dry season 2011. Split Plot Design were used in these experiments in which maturity days (3.5; 4.0 dan 4.5 months) were used as main plot and sweetpotato clones as sub-plots (10 clones with high anthocyanin content and 2 check varieties). The experiments were conducted in three replications in which every clones were planted in a 2 row plots with 5 m length. Result of these experiments indicated that the highest yield were achieved at 3.5 months old. The highest yield at 3.5 months old was achieved by MSU 06044-05 with 18.5 t/ha and 17.3 t/ha at Jambegede and Genteng experiment station, consecutively. Yield results at these two locations were still lower than 20 t/ha at 3.5 months which indicated that there is no a single variety categorized as early maturity. Root yield were increased by increasing in harvesting time at both locations Genteng and Jambegede experiment stations mostly happened at all clones. When harested at 4 months, clone MSU 06044-05 gave high yield at Genteng (26,7 t/ha) and Jambegede (21,4 t/ha). From these three harvest times, maturity days 4,5 months was the most optimal time to harvest. Clone MSU 06044-5 produced the highest root yield at these two locations after 4.5 months with average yield 32.4 t/ha (Genteng Experiment Station) and 29.2 t/ha (Jambegede Experiment Station).
