Abstract

This research aimed at investigating whether the learning outcomes of students who used the TPSq cooperative learning model are better than the learning outcomes of students who used the NHT cooperative learning model in seventh grade of the Iqro’ IT Junior High School in Bengkulu. The populations of this study were the students at seventh grade class of Iqro’ IT junior High School in Bengkulu. The sample were class VII A by implementing think pair square (TPSQ) learning model and class VII D by implementing Numbered Heads Together(NHT) learning model. The data were obtained by using test instruments. For the data analysis, the researcher used independent sample t-test. Mean for experiment class 1 is 78,32 and the mean for experiment class 2 is 64,58. Based on the results, it was found that mean of the students who used TPSq learning model was higher than mean of the students who used NHT learning model.
