Abstract

Flowering induction for off-season citrus fruits production covers manipulation of drought stress and rewatering. There are many factors determined that process, some of them are the level of prunning and dosages of fertilization by the content of some nutrients as indicators. This research aimed to know the effect of level of prunning and dosages of fertilization on content of some nutrients in leaves of citrus. The research was carried out at Kembangan Village, Bukateja District, Purbalingga Regency from May until December 2017, used four-years old citrus plants. Observed factors were level of branch prunning (0, 5, 10, and 15% of total number of kurterner branches) and dosages of fertilization (0, 2, and 4% of weight of harvested fruits) with three replications. Split Plot Design was used, level of branch prunning was arranged at main plot, whereas dosages of fertilization at sub plot. The result of research showed that the highest content of K (4.29% for drought stress condition and 1.79% after rewatering) were achieved by prunning 5% and without fertilization. Branch prunning of 5% gave the highest C/N ratio (12.60).
