Abstract

This study aims to determine whether science learning through mind mapping techniques can improve the creativity of PGSD students in Second Semester at Univet Bantara, Sukoharjo. The type of research is a quantitative study using mind mapping techniques to enhance the creativity of PGSD students in the second semester of Bantara University in Sukoharjo. The subjects of this study were second-semester students of PGSD Univet Bantara, Sukoharjo with randomly selected samples. The technique of collecting data are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study prove that there was an increase in student creativity in making notes using mind mapping techniques. The evidenced was the coefficient of the validity of the mind mapping media assessment in the first cycle of 0.75 then increased in the second cycle to 0.91. The value is ≥0,700 which means fulfilling the requirements as required by Gregory. Then it can be analyzed that many items are very relevant, namely the technique of mind mapping conducted by students in accordance with the elementary science learning material.
