Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of financial literacy, learning, gender, GPA (Cumulative Achievement Index) and place of residence on the financial behavior of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Muhammadiyah Purwokerto University and the Faculty of Economics and Business, General Sudirman University. The population in this study were Active Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Muhammadiyah Purwokerto and General Sudirman University class of 2015-2017. The data collection technique used was purposive sampling, namely students who had taken courses that supported financial behavior while the sample used 354 respondents. Data analysis using validity test, reliability test, descriptive statistical test, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression, model match test. Based on the results of the analysis show that the variables of financial literacy, learning have a significant effect on student financial behavior while gender, GPA (Cumulative Achievement Index) and residence do not significantly influence student financial behavior.
