Abstract
Mathematics is the queen and servant of other sciences which lays the foundation for solving problems in everyday life, so that one aspect that students must master is the ability to solve mathematical problems. However, in fact, due to the different problem-solving abilities of each student, certain factors differ, one of which is student academic procrastination. This study aims to solve mathematical problems of class VII D students of SMP Negeri 3 Purwokerto with quadrilateral material in terms of academic procrastination. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Sampling was done using a purposive sampling technique, where students looked into three categories, namely two students with high procrastination, two students with moderate procrastination, and two students with low procrastination. The instrument in this study used an academic procrastination questionnaire, problem-solving ability test questions, interviews, and documentation. The data validation test used is a technical triangulation test. The results showed: (1) students with high procrastination were only able to identify problems, (2) students with moderate procrastination were able to identify problems, develop problem solving strategies, and apply strategies to solve problems, and (3) students with low procrastination were able to identify problems. , develop problem solving strategies, implement strategies to solve problems, and recheck the results of the settlement.
