Abstract

This book published the study that compares the achievement of students of English with different majors or programs at secondary school. This has drawn attention to the assumption that the science students’ mindset, namely the physics and biology majors have more logical and rational attitude. This mindset fits to English lessons in that era, where the curriculum of English language teaching materials is dominated with grammar. The publication of the study result on the students’ learning outcomes from three different majors at a state secondary school at Sukoharjo, Central Java, Indonesia has been accomplished for the first time through this monograph. Before this, publication efforts have been delayed for some reasons, and only until 2018 it has been able to come to light
