Abstract

This study aims to determine the provision of art therapy drawing methods for reducing academic stress in students. The subjects of this study were students who experienced academic stress. Data collection uses the Academic Stress Scale. The data analysis technique used is the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test analysis. The analysis showed the value of Z = -2.023 with p = 0.043 (p <0.05). This means the hypothesis is accepted that there are differences in academic stress on students before and after getting the art therapy drawing method. Academic stress before being given higher treatment (mean = 94.17) than academic stress after being given the art therapy drawing method (mean = 73.33). These results indicate that there is a significant difference in the subject's academic stress level before and after the art therapy drawing method is given. Implications the art therapy drawing method can be used as an alternative method for reducing student academic stress.
